Hong Kong Day 2
After a very so-so night of sleep for me!!!! I was up at 2am...not Shannon....she slept with no problems. It was definitely good to bring her. She will have no problems being fresh when I need help with Madison....we had a day of touring today. We went to Victory Peak. The scenery from
the peak was amazing. As you can
tell it was overcast, but luckily no rain today. It was not the best hair day today. It was definitely more muggy than we were prepared for. We also went to Aberdeen Fisherman's Village. Our travel group went for a boat ride to see the worlds largest floating restaurant. After the windy bus ride up the mountain, Shannon and I elected to sit this one out.
The day was very nice. We also went to the Jewelry factory where a wonderful surprise happened. We had a few families from another travel group with us. Halfway thru the tour, Julie Parker-Wing and I discovered we were on the same tour. So much for the meeting in Guanghzou. After the tour we were all taken for a Dim Sum lunch. Tonight we plan to meet and go for the laser light show.

Some of group 957 enjoying lunch.

Me and Julie at the luncheon. Julie and Chuck are a blast. We are going to have a great time when we meet back up in Guangzhou.

Kimmy just for you.....Here is the pool at the Langham Hotel. I hope you and Dean are having a great time on vacation.

We leave around 10am tomorrow for Hangzhou. So, the next time I post will be from there. Thank you to everyone for sharing this wonderful journey with us. Becca we got your post and will try to call. Unfortunately it is 3:30 in the morning and you know your Dad will never wake up and hear the phone! :-)

The Trip to Hong Kong!

Rory dropped us off at the Louisville airport at 7:30 am on Thursday. We are packed andready. We are in Chicago waiting to board our flight to Hong Kong.

We finally made it to Hong Kong.We are very tired. The flight was long with little sleep. Tomorrow we will go on a tour and hopefully we will feel more "normal" tomorrow. We are pretty much done for the night. It is hard to believe that just one weekend stands between us and Madison.

Jake, Becca, Elisha and Rory we miss and will see you soon!!

Gifts for Madison....
Over the past few weeks family and friends have been sharing in our joy and helping us pass the time until our beautiful daughter is with us. When someone is expecting a baby some offices will do a "Baby Bingo". The way this game works is each person buys a date that they think the baby will be born. My work did a similiar game with us. Each person purchased a date that they thought I would get Madison. Then the person who gets the correct date gets half of the money and the other half goes to the baby. My Manager Rebecca guessed May 8. She gave all of the money to Madison. So, I went shopping today and thanks to my co-workers purchased Madison a high chair. Yep sitting outside....Do you realize just how many pieces there are to one high chair!!! My Manager Rebecca, who won the "Baby Bingo" game, also got Madison a Teddy Blankie. She is great with arts and crafts and embroyderd Madisons name on the satin heart. Thank you Rebecca, the Teddy Blankie is wonderful and I am sure Madison will enjoy this for many years. My sister Wanda, who fortunately got my mother's sewing talents, made Madison a beautiful quilt. This is something that Madison will be able to pass down to her little girl one day.
